AURORA, Illinois July 9, 2007—The Aurora Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (AACVB) welcomed the City of Sandwich as their newest partner. Sandwich becomes the AACVB’s ninth partner since its inception in 1987.
“We are delighted to welcome the City of Sandwich —a community dedicated to preserving its rich agricultural heritage,” said AACVB Executive Director Sue Vos.
The City of Sandwich adds another facet of the jewel that comprises the Aurora Area: Aurora , Batavia , Big Rock, Montgomery , North Aurora, Plano , Sugar Grove, Yorkville and now, Sandwich .
With the addition of Sandwich to the AACVB community, the Aurora Area may now offer the consumer or business traveler delights from a variety of destinations: from dazzling urban-like nightlife to rolling pastoral beauty; from quaint country charm to cities resplendent with significant history; from the best in mall shopping to rare, unique finds—including the amazing Sandwich Antiques Market.
“For me, the timing is perfect for Sandwich to be on board,” said AACVB Public Relations Director Laurie DiBerardino adding, “I am so excited that I will be able to assist in promoting the 120th Annual Sandwich Fair—the oldest county fair in Illinois—as well as, the unbelievable Sandwich Antiques Market.”
